EMB-110 AD Note requires wing removal & disassembly for crack & corrosion inspection (visual & Dye pen) of the box spar & aux attach fittings (5 layers accessible from both sides). I submitted AMOC to ACO using a combination of NDT methods (X-Ray, U-Sound, & Eddy Current) in lieu of wing removal & disassembly. ACO now wants to know if anyone else has a similar approved NDT method for inspecting a similar area in other aircraft.
Does anyone out there have any info on this?
