Kodak Expands Its Line of KODAK INDUSTREX Chemicals
for Non-Destructive Testing

Single part products feature improved stability, reduced packaging waste

ROCHESTER, N.Y., November 11, 2004 -- Eastman Kodak Company today introduced an expansion of its KODAK INDUSTREX line of chemicals used for processing KODAK INDUSTREX films with T-Grain emulsions in non-destructive testing (NDT) applications. Compatible with automatic mixer systems, these three new Pratt & Whitney-approved chemicals are single-part concentrates that provide ease of use and reduced packaging waste.

KODAK INDUSTREX Single Part Developer Replenisher (catalog number 104 3017) and Single Part Developer Starter (catalog number 105 7652) feature strengthened activation power for fast processing and high productivity, as well as neutral image tones and low granularity. Both are highly stable with improved resistance to aerial oxidation and low sludge formation, and both can be transported by air. KODAK INDUSTREX LO (low odor) Fixer and Replenisher (catalog number 163 4559) offers the established quality of INDUSTREX chemicals while reducing odors to improve the working environment.

"Kodak has always set the standard for image quality and excels at adapting imaging technology to serve the demands of non-destructive testing," said William Quinn, General Manager, Aerial & Industrial Materials. "Extending our INDUSTREX line with new, single part chemicals reflects our commitment to continuously align our products with the challenges confronting our customers, from image quality, mobility, and flexibility, to environmental concerns."

All three of the new chemicals have been approved by Pratt & Whitney: PMC 1739, PMC 1804, and PMC 1805. Kodak's Non-Destructive Testing unit designs and produces unique digital and film-based imaging solutions for the NDT industry. Products include KODAK INDUSTREX Digital Systems and KODAK INDUSTREX films, chemicals, and processing equipment.
