R/D Tech Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired Staveley NDT Technologies, a major provider of high-performance nondestructive testing equipment and sensors. With the acquisition, R/D Tech continues to strengthen its market leadership position in the global NDT (nondestructive testing) market.
In 2004, R/D Tech acquired the NDT business of Panametrics, a world leader in high-quality portable ultrasonic testing products. In 2003, it acquired NDT Engineering, a major supplier of eddy current probes and ultrasonic transducers to the aerospace industry.
This latest move further demonstrates R/D Tech’s ongoing commitment to provide customers a full range of products and NDT technologies. R/D Tech intends to remain a world leader by continuously creating innovative products and delivering cost-effective applications-focused testing solutions.
Staveley NDT Technologies is comprised of Staveley Instruments based in Kennewick, Washington; Staveley Sensors in East Hartford, Connecticut; and Staveley NDT Technologies Ltd. based in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. The company manufactures and distributes a full line of nondestructive test equipment including flaw detectors, thickness and corrosion gages, composite testers, and conductivity gages along with probes, scanners and transducers. It offers instruments for ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, and bond testing.
