TecScan’s Scan3D-2000 Fan Blade Scanner represents the most recent addition to the Scan3D™ Scanner family. The system is based on the unique Scan3D™ technology for High-Precision Immersion scanning. This type of scanners was specifically designed with our latest motion control and data acquisition technologies for the inspection of Composite Fan Blades in real 3D coordinates. The Scan3D-2000 scanner offers advanced flexibility and efficiency due to its linear axes scalability. Equipped with our proprietary TecView™ 3D software and Gimbal/Gimbal manipulators, the scanner performs high resolution fan blade inspections at speeds above 200 mm/s (speeds attained on the blade surface).
Scan3D-2000 is highly accurate and produces repeatable results at very high inspection rates. It allows users to capture and store the high speed UT signals while displaying the C-Scan results in real-time. Defects and disbonds as small as 6 mm can be detected and mapped on the 3D C-Scans.
