Olympus Releases a New Handheld XRF Analyzer, the DELTA Professional with X-act Count Technology

Olympus NDT is pleased to announce the release of a new handheld X-ray fluorescence analyzer, the DELTA Professional with X-act Count technology. Coupled with a 40kV tube and Silicon Drift Detector (SDD), the DELTA Professional is the best value solution from Olympus for handheld XRF analyzers. It provides superior performance in speed, LODs, and elemental range. The DELTA Professional is housed in an industrial-designed body, ruggedized to demanding environments. It provides the best mix of durability and analytical performance with an overall low cost of ownership.

The new DELTA Professional performance enhancements are especially significant for traditionally difficult applications for handheld XRF - light elements and alloys. Rapid analysis of magnesium (Mg), aluminum (Al), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S) can now be routine. The integration of the DELTA Professional's X-act Count technology with a 40kV rhodium (Rh)-anode tube, SDD, and automatic filtering provides fast, precise analysis of transition and heavy metals as well as sensitive measurement of light element content without the use of ancillary equipment. When coupled with Alloy SmartSort Mode, testing throughput is maximized - sample by sample, testing is automatically extended or terminated thus optimizing accuracy and throughput.
