Keynote Speakers announced for NDT in Canada 2013 ConferenceCanadian Institute for NDE (CINDE)27, Hamilton, ON, Canada
The Canadian Institute for NDE (CINDE) and conference partners CANSMART and Fraunhofer IZFP are pleased to announce two keynote speakers for the NDT in Canada 2013 Conference.
Dinara Millington. Dinara is the Senior Research Director at Canadian Energy Research Institute (CERI). CERI is an independent, not-for-profit research establishment created through a partnership of industry, academia, and government in 1975. Their mission is to provide relevant, independent, objective economic research in energy and related environmental issues.
Dinara Millington joined CERI in February 2004. As Senior Research Director, she is primarily responsible for leading the oil sands research projects. In addition, she assists in the production of market research, economic analysis and economic modeling. Ms. Millington has participated in various projects involving oil sands, crude oil, natural gas, LNG, and renewable energy.
Dinara is also a main contributor to the Institute's Commodity Report – Crude Oil and co-authored CERI’s Alberta Electricity Monthly publication. Since joining CERI, Dinara has guest lectured at the University of Calgary and has contributed in data management and price forecasting committees.
Madiha Kotb, President of ASME, will provide a keynote to the attendees of the NDT in Canada 2013 Conference. An active member of ASME for more than 17 years, Kotb has held numerous leadership positions within the organization, serving on the ASME Board of Governors from 2008-2011 and as vice president of Conformity Assessment from 2003-2006. She has served as chair of the ASME Presidential Task Force on Uniform (Financial) Reporting, and has served as a member of the ASME Committee on Governance and Strategy, the Council on Codes and Standards, and the Committee on Ethical Standards and Review.
Kotb is a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal where she received her bachelor and master's degrees in mechanical engineering. A recognized leader among her peers, she is a recipient of the ASME Dedicated Service Award and the Canadian Standards Association Award of Merit for her contribution to the development of Canadian nuclear standards.
