Echo Graphic introduces the EG430NDT, a X-ray film processor designed for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)Echo Graphic ApS, Hadsund, Denmark
Recent market trends within methods for radiographic testing leads Echo Graphic to make investments in development of new industry-specific equipment for film processing. The first step is the introduction of the EG430NDT film processor, a processor designed to deliver the highest performance, quality and durability within stationary NDT laboratories.
Echo Graphic, a world leader in equipment for film processing, announces that it has decided to enter the market for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). The first step is the introduction of EG430NDT, a film processor designed to meet the strict requirements that NDT professionals has. Contrary to industry analysts’ predictions some years back, the market for traditional x-ray film still exists. Companies like Carestream, GE Inspection and Fuji is even expecting film based solutions to grow in the coming years. The reason is to be found in the harsh environments that NDT technicians often work in, where use of film has several advantages compared to digital solutions.
To address this growing demand, Echo Graphic is launching its first film processor for development of film within NDT, the EG430NDT. The film processor can develop film up to a width of 43 cm. and is made in a robust construction based on aluminum and stainless steel in order to give a high lifetime and durability.
"Today, we are recognized as the leading manufacturer of film processing equipment for the Printed Circuit Board industry. The new range of equipment for NDT leverages on our vast experience from PCB, where high-quality development is a key element in today’s production of electronic equipment. The objective is to achieve the same market recognition from professional NDT companies" says Christian Vestergaard, General Manager at Echo Graphic. "We participated at ECNDT2014 in Prague in October with a prototype of the EG430NDT, and the interest was immense. It is clear that there is a market for premium film processors, and our reseller network is expanding rapidly".
Furthermore, a number of industry-specific accessories have been developed to ease the operation when developing films. As example, EG430NDT is equipped with a digital control panel with an icon-based user interface, making it easy to retrieve and run predefined jobs, minimizing the manual intervention needed.
