|Seville, May 6 2015.- Tecnatom is one of the main sponsors of the 13th National Congress
on Non-Destructive Testing, which begins today in Seville until May 8 at the Higher Technical
School of Engineering. This is an unmissable event for professionals and companies in which
both latest technical and scientific developments in the field of NDT as coming trends are
With more than 50 years of experience in this area, Tecnatom renews its commitment to this new edition of the Congress, organized by the Spanish Association of Non-Destructive Testing (AEND), of which is an active member since its founding, having participated in all editions from the beginning.
Tecnatom's commitment is also reflected in the active involvement of its staff both in AEND and the Congress itself. Emilio Gonzalez, Quality Director in Tecnatom, is the current General Secretary of the AEND. And Rafael Martínez-Oña, Deputy Director at the Inspection and Testing Services Direction in Tecnatom holds the position of Quality Director at the AEND and also takes part in the Scientific Committee, chairing the session "Applications in power plants 1”.
Tecnatom participates in several papers covering all areas in which has experience with regard to the application on NDT techniques in different areas: power generation, petrochemical, industrial in general and, particularly, the aerospace sector, which has been providing technology services for more than a decade experiencing a constant growth.
Tecnatom also shares a booth with its Spanish subsidiary Ibercal as well as the French subsidiary M2M, which will make some demonstrations of Gekko, a portable system that optimizes the ultrasonic technique based on phased array technology for application to various sectors, giving it an easily compressible interface and generated from the perspective of the operator.
Another novelty that Tecnatom presents these days, specifically and officially in a special act on May 7, is the public launch of a new website specialized in products that Tecnatom develops for non-destructive testing: www.tecnatom-ndt.com. This idea emerged from the Direction of Technology and Product Development of Tecnatom, which thought about the need to create a platform through which they could show its progress in developing products for its application in NDT. And these products are part of the underlying technology in the embedded systems of automated inspection that Tecnatom manufactures to be used in inspection activities or for delivery to customers. Products such as Eddy current and ultrasonic equipment, electronics, probes, accessories sensors and software, in addition to the integrated systems mentioned above are the protagonists of this website. With its creation, the promotion of these equipment and components will be more agile and accessible to those interested in information about these systems.
Along with its own technology, comprehensive service and individualized counseling to the client is the other differential value of Tecnatom. Thus, the company works closely with its clients in the specification of the inspection systems in order to determine the proper procedure and design and develop the automatic inspection systems relevant.
