New Forum Alert Search - A selective dissemination of new forum posts

NDT.net114, Bad Breisig, Germany

NDT.net's forum provides now a new innovative service. A selective dissemination of new forum posts, called Alert Search, allows MyNDT members to receive email alerts whenever a new Forum post obtains a text that matches their preferred reading interests.

An example of an Alert Search is perhaps a favorite author, company or topic - then the forum will send you an email immediately whenever any posts are submitted and approved to the forum which match that author or topic.

Alert Search profiles consist of the parameters that are available in the forum search form, such as: search term, boolean (and, or, phrase), restrict (subject, user) and forum board.

Depending on the Alert you set up, you will probably not receive email about each of your alerts every day. On the other hand, if you choose really hot topics in the forum, your email inbox will become quite full.

Using an Alert Search is an excellent strategie, however, if you want to make sure not miss important topics it is necessary to brows in addition the forum week newsletter.

Further information on how to use the Alert Search read in the forum message here
