Karim Shakouri, TWI Azerbaijan’s country manager, has announced that it will be running its first CSWIP 3.1U underwater inspection course at a new, purpose-built facility on 1 February 2016, following the official opening in December 2015.
This new initiative is a joint venture between TWI Azerbaijan and partner company DalgidJ, a supplier of ROV, diving, underwater-technical and ship-repair services in the Caspian area. The new building houses specialist training facilities including underwater training equipment, dedicated classrooms, a 10m2 by 7.5m deep training pool and a restaurant. Interest has been so strong that registration has already started for the courses in 2016, which include the following:
The training centre, built by the sea and surrounded by hotels and resorts, is expected to attract candidates from all over the world. Qualified and approved lecturers have already been appointed, currently speaking three different languages: English, Russian and Azeri.
This new facility marks another step towards TWI’s goal of extending its existing capacity to be able to offer underwater training all over the world, including various sites in Europe.
TWI is the only training provider that can offer CSWIP training and examinations at the same facility, making it the supplier of choice for candidates worldwide. Additionally, TWI Azerbaijan can provide e-visas for candidates who need them, the process for which usually takes between 10 and 15 working days.
TWI Azerbaijan’s new training centre is at Salyan Highway 13, 6/10 Baku, AZ1023, Azerbaijan. In addition to underwater courses, TWI offers a wide range of training courses in Azerbaijan – view the whole course schedule for Baku, Azerbaijan.
