|HOUSTON, TX, USA: JIREH Industries is pleased to announce the release of an update to its manual weld
inspection, chain scanner product line. The Rotix Nozzle scanner from JIREH facilitates semi-automated
inspection of nozzle and fitting welds, using the rugged and versatile chain scanner platform.
The Rotix Nozzle Scanner features an encoded cart (with encoder connector for most major UT instruments), along with single wheel links used in JIREH’s popular chain scanning systems. This scanner can be used to facilitate inspection in a variety of applications, covering nozzles sizes of 3.8 cm – 60 cm (1.5 in – 24 in) diameter. The cart can also be equipped with magnetic wheels for larger diameter nozzles. The long stroke vertical probe holder included in the kit accommodates a variety of pipe, tank, or vessel sizes. Nozzle weld inspection can be performed using the new Rotix Nozzle scanner, or by using an add-on kit, compatible with most of JIREH’s existing chain scanners.
