|BINDT’s Aerospace Event 2017
This year TVC will be exhibiting at three events. The first, next month on 25 April, at the
BINDT Aerospace Event 2017. The two-day event is being held at TWI Ltd in Cambridge,
UK. It’s theme this year is ‘Joining technologies and the challenges they present to the
TVC will be showcasing our welding dataloggers and gas monitoring equipment along with
discussing our UKAS accreditation in Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors and exceptional laboratory
facilities with visitors. Pop along to see us!
The first day, 25 April, hosted by the Aerospace Group, focusses mainly on metallic
technologies and includes a tour of the new TWI facilities along with the one-day exhibition
which TVC will be present at.
This day will cover:
- Friction stir welding and the advantages and challenges it presents for inspection
- Conventional welding
- Electron beam welding
- Additive layer manufacturing
- Future NDT requirements for joining technologies (panel session)
The second day, 26 April, hosted by the Composites Group, focusses on the non-metallic
composite materials used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, civil and pipeline
engineering sectors (primary production, retrospective repairs and upgrades). This day will
The Aerospace Annual General Meeting and Composites Annual General Meeting will also
be held on this day.

Materials Testing 2017 and Welding & Cutting 2017
TVC will also be in Telford again this year for BINDT’s Material Testing 2017 exhibition. This
event takes place between 5 – 7 September and more information can be found > here.
For our last exhibition this year, TVC will be at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN MESSE
ESSEN Welding & Cutting 2017 event. This incredible show only takes place every 4 years
and we’re excited to be featuring TVC at such a prominent expo. The event will run from 25

The exceptional digital update to our popular ColcheK equipment has arrived! After many
months of R&D, the ColcheK2 has undergone its final testing stage and and we will be
showcasing the unit next month when it is officially released. Just for NDT.net, however,
we’re releasing a taster of its fresh look. A full breakdown of the unit specs and its
