The Exciting AlphaGage+ Series Joins Our Range Of Gauges

Sonatest Ltd44, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom

Milton Keynes, April 5th 2017. As part of our extended thickness gauge product range, Sonatest is proud to introduce the complete AlphaGage+ series.

For inspectors, maintenance operators and quality engineers looking to measure thickness for applications in multiple industries, the AlphaGage+ offers all the functionalities of a performance ultrasonic thickness gauge to measure different materials: true thickness under coating, data logger (B-Scan) for corrosion mapping, live waveform (A-Scan) and oxide scale for boiler tubes to name a few. Upgradable in the field, the AlphaGage+ is also a flexible solution as it can be fully loaded from the start or upgraded anytime later by easily activating its valuable software options when required.

Packaged in an ergonomic and extremely rugged hand held enclosure, the AlphaGage+ can measure precisely the remaining wall thickness of structures subject to corrosion like metal pipe works, pressure vessels, structural parts or storage tanks. The corrosion version of AlphaGage+ is an excellent tool for aging assets management team and to solve or prevent production issues in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industries, for instance.

In precision mode, the AlphaGage+ achieves higher accuracy performances than standard corrosion gauges to meet very strict quality control requirements like in the aerospace and automotive industries. It is a key asset instrument to address specific manufacturing thickness control and application for steel, aluminium, glass, ceramic, rubber or plastic parts.

Finally the AlphaGage+ can be delivered with both corrosion and precision modes into one instrument. This makes AlphaGage+ a very attractive choice for demanding service companies that invest time and money to train their technicians on one instrument that is fully capable to measure efficiently the thickness of any kind of engineering works on the market into one simple workflow.

The corrosion version of AlphaGage+ is an excellent tool for management teams responsible for ageing assets.
