NDT in Aerospace – the 10th International Symposium

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung (DGZfP)159, Berlin, Germany

The 10th International Symposium on NDT in Aerospace will take place in Dresden/Germany during October 24 to 26, 2018 where NDT.net is the media sponsor and the German Society for NDT (DGZfP) the host organisation. Preparations for the symposium are making good progress. Three of the four keynote speakers have already committed their attendance and will talk regarding the following subjects with respect to NDT and aerospace:

Prof. Giovanni Bruno (BAM/Germany): Additive Manufacturing
Dr. Pierre Calmon (CEA/France): Numerical Simulation
Dr. William Prosser (NASA/USA): Robotics

A fourth speaker is currently still attracted to talk about Big Data. All keynote speakers will also run an individual workshop session related to these subjects where papers from anyone are welcome to be submitted. These papers will also be briefly presented in the plenary. Your paper will therefore achieve a special attention, which no other conference is providing so far. Abstracts are welcome until May 31, 2018 with further details to be found on: www.ndt-aerospace.com .

The symposium will also include special sessions on EU H2020 Clean Sky Projects, Benchmark Study on Structural Health Monitoring Guided Wave Simulation, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) and a Student Session dealing most likely with Big Data. Abstracts for any other NDT in Aerospace related subject is welcome as well. A platform will be provided for exhibitors to display their technologies and equipment. The symposium is completed by technical visits to Saxonian aerospace testing and maintenance organisations in the Dresden and Leipzig area. Attractive student fares should make participation of a next generation of engineers highly interesting.
