Call for Papers
This message is to invite you to participate to the 3-day International Symposium on Laser-Ultrasonics : Science, Technology and Applications that will be held in Montreal, Canada on July 16-18, 2008.

Laser-ultrasonics or laser-ultrasound or laser-based ultrasound is, as you know, the generation and /or detection of ultrasound with lasers. Laser-ultrasonics has been under study and development in many laboratories all over the world for several decades. From the initial generation of ultrasound with lasers in the early 60s and the first optical detection of small ultrasonic displacement in the MHz range, years later the field has evolved in many research directions, while attracting more and more interest from industry. Several devices and applications have already been transferred to industry and laser-ultrasonic systems are now commercially available.

The goal of this symposium, which is the first of its kind, is to provide to universities, applied laboratories and industries the state-of-the art of the technology and its applications as well as the future trends in the field.

The Symposium will be held at the Ecole de technologie superieure (ETS), Montreal, Canada from July 16 to 18, 2008.
