Automation Bar/Billet Rotator Ultrasonic Inspection System to a leading U.S. producer of titanium mill
products for the aerospace industry.
The NDT Automation (NDTA) Bar/Billet Rotator UT
Inspection Systems product line consists of a variety of
product sizes designed to provide a solution for the
inspection of metallic or non-metallic tubular geometries.
With a high speed, all stainless steel Bar/Billet Rotator, the
system is able to hold up to 6,000 pound components while
providing 100 percent sub-surface Ultrasonic inspection of
critical aerospace metallic components.
Other features include longitudinal scanning speed in excess of
25 inches/second for flat plate inspection, enclosed data
acquisition cabinet and a NDT Automations industry standard
AD1210 PCI based Ultrasonic pulser Receiver card.
The system uses UTwin, NDT Automations 3rd generation full
A,B & C-Scan software to control both the motion and ultrasonic
data collection. UTwin is a comprehensive image and analysis
platform featuring; multi-channel, multi-flaw gate, RF replay,
clustering, 3D and many other advanced analysis tools.
The 32 foot scan-length system, recently delivered to this prime
manufacturer will be incorporated into the companys inspection of aerospace grade titanium products.
