AGR Field Operations pursues alternative energyTechnology Design Ltd44, Winsford, United Kingdom
AGR Field Operations expands their business by establishing a global Product Line within alternative energy. This new Product Line will be headquartered in Brisbane, and strengthens AGRs position as a leading supplier of technology for capturing and storing CO2 in Australia.
AGR Field Operations has during the last few years developed a series of solutions within alternative energy for the major actors in the Australian market. AGR has been the EPCM provider for both of the CO2 sequestration projects in Australia. During the last two years AGR has covered activities such as sub-terrain storage of CO2, wave energy, coal seam gas, coalmine degasification and geothermal energy.
We hit the ground running with our new Product Line, as we are already established as a significant provider of Coal Seam Gas- and geo sequestration services, says Johan Warmedal, CEO of AGR Asia Pacific. We are experiencing an immense demand from the industry to develop alternative energy projects that can increase profitability, as well as extracting coal, oil and gas in a more innovative and environmentally friendly manner, continues Johan Warmedal.
AGR Field Operations have worked with CO2CRC in implementing and operating the Otway CO2 Storage Project. Likewise, AGR have provided EPCM services to the ZeroGen Project which is carrying out investigations to identify reservoirs to safely store CO2 for the clean coal project.
We have developed significant competence through these projects, which provide a solid foundation for our new Product Line. We have a number of projects that will double AGRs activities within alternative energy this year, and we are confident that the market for this type of services will continue to increase in the years to come, says Johan Warmedal.
