The latest addition to the Rhythm Software Suite provides on-demand access to NDT inspection data with just a Windows-based PC and web browser

Billerica, MA, USA — February 18, 2009 —GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies announces Rhythm Enterprise Web®, the latest addition to the Rhythm Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Software Suite. In conjunction with the Rhythm Archive suite, Rhythm Enterprise Web provides single-point and enterprise-wide access to NDT images and data, regardless of where the information originated. Prior to this, sharing NDT data across an enterprise was a time consuming task as the information needed to be burned to a disk and shipped. Now inspectors can view images from any PC on their network, send studies to colleagues as a file attachment to an e-mail, and use the conferencing feature to consult colleagues on images in real time, even though the inspector maybe continents apart.

Rhythm Archive is the first step in making data sharing easier and more effective by providing a protected central information repository. Rhythm Enterprise Web is taking data sharing one step further by providing a Web-based functionality that provides optimal delivery of cross modality NDT images and reports to all of NDT users, regardless of their bandwidth connections using a Web browser on a standard PC. Rhythm web runs over customers’ network so the customers have full control over their security.

Like other versions of the Rhythm suite, Rhythm Web is DICONDE compliant, ensuring operators are not constricted by current proprietary formats, eliminating the need for future data conversion. A hallmark of the Rhythm software suite is its scaleable architecture and Rhythm Enterprise Web software package provides versatility and flexibility; modules can be added as needed with added benefits such as real time conferencing tools, faster image downloads and on demand access to NDT information. The real time conferencing tool allows for easy and quick data sharing across an organization while keeping the data stored in a central location.
