Applus RTD commits itself to North America with two further acquisitionsThe purchases of Quality Inspection Services (QISI) in the United States and Staveley in Canada strengthen the presence of Applus RTD in a strategic market and consolidate its position as the world leader in the field asset integrity services.
The Applus RTD Group, the world leading multinational in non-destructive testing and inspection through to Asset Integrity Management announced today the acquisition of two companies specialized in inspections and non-destructive testing: Quality Inspection Services (QISI), headquartered in the American state of New York, and Staveley, located in Ontario province, Canada. These operations, together with the acquisition of JanX (United States) in 2008 and of Technico (Canada) in 2009, reinforce the company's commitment to the North American market, where it has been present for two decades with a large workforce.
The Applus RTD Group is strengthening it's geographical position in the USA and Canada as well as in different application fields like oil & gas, power plants, refineries, storage tanks and the petrochemical industry. The headoffice for Applus RTD in the USA is in Houston; for Applus RTD Canada in Edmonton.
Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection (NDT&I) is part of the Full Services approach which Applus RTD brings to the market as Asset Integrity Services. Applus RTD is the technological world leader in NDT&I since 1937. The acquisitions of the two companies strengthen the position of Applus RTD in North America.
With over 20 years of experience and a workforce of over 300, QISI provides inspection, testing and engineering services, specializing in conventional and nuclear power plants. With a strong presence in the State of New York (where it is headquartered), it has 14 branches distributed all over the USA. QISI is one of the five leading companies operating in the United States in the field of power generation plant inspection.

QISI and Staveley will be part of the Applus RTD Group, headquartered in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
