Québec City, Canada, September 19, 2012 Eddyfi is proud to announce the creation of Eddyfi Europe, a new and fully-owned subsidiary of Eddyfi NDT, Inc.
The new company, located in Saint-Vulbas, near Lyon, France, offers sales, application development and support, and product services. The companys modern and spacious facilities are equipped with an applications laboratory, a meeting / training room, a calibration and repair laboratory, and a tubing probe storage area.
Ms. Colombe Dalpé, a seasoned NDT inspection technology professional, has been appointed Director of Business Development and Managing Director for Eddyfi Europe. Applications development and support are the responsibility of Mr. Nathan Decourcelle and Ms. Angélique Raude, whom have both recently joined Eddyfi after spending the last 7 years with TWI in Cambridge, UK. Additionally, Mr. Aaron Greenbank, our current Sales Director located in Glasgow, Scotland, will now report to the Lyon office.
Opening an office in Europe is a key strategic move to support Eddyfis rapid growth. The Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region offers significant eddy current surface and tubing inspection opportunities for Eddyfi. A local presence is required to improve our response time and better align our offering with the regions inspection technology requirements. Naturally, and on a practical note, this new entity allows Eddyfi to transact as a European company, offering regional product calibration and repair, and drastically reducing delivery times of tubing probes. said Martin Thériault, President and CEO of Eddyfi NDT, Inc.
Eddyfi differentiates itself with its high level of eddy current expertise. Its applications approach, customer focus, and ability to deliver custom-made solutions require that a close relationship be established with end users. This will now be greatly simplified with the presence of local sales and applications teams. From Lyon, a centrally located and very competitive travel hub in Europe, Eddyfi experts will be able to visit or welcome customers easily. We believe that this will lead to more development project opportunities that will benefit both Eddyfi and our EMEA customers. explained Ms. Dalpé.
