AeroCheck Eddy Current Flaw Detector – NEW to MarketETher NDE11, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
ETher NDE is excited to officially launch the AeroCheck Eddy Current Flaw Detector, specifically designed for the Aerospace Industry. Sharing the same technology and casing as its sister product, the WeldCheck, the AeroCheck has also been entirely designed and manufactured in the UK.
The AeroCheck has been targeted for the exacting needs of the aerospace industry. Common areas on an airplane that can be inspected with the AeroCheck include wheel brakes, wheels and landing gear, fasteners and fastener holes, engine mounts, fuselage, wing surface and hinges, bulkheads, tail plane, door access points, window frames, engine blades and engine discs.
Fully capable of all the common eddy current inspection applications you may encounter on an aircraft including paint thickness, sub-surface and surface crack detection, the AeroCheck is the ideal eddy current instrument for the job.
Fitted with the industry standard 12-Way Lemo connector and for convenience, co-axial Lemo 00 connectors means that it can be used with absolute, bridge and reflection probes without the need for adaptors. Furthermore, the AeroCheck includes rotary capability as standard and can be used with the ETher Mercury, Hocking 33A100, and Rohmann MR3 Drive.
The AeroCheck can be used continuously for up to ten hours with a pencil probe and seven hours with the rotary drive and probe attached.
With a fully daylight readable 5.7” LCD colour full VGA (640 x 480 pixels) sharp (140ppi) screen and weighing just 1.2kg and housed in a tough Aluminium/Mg Si 0.5 Alloy powder-coated outer case, the AeroCheck is ideal for any working environment from the laboratory to the tightest spaces on an aircraft.
The AeroCheck display options can be configured to the users personal preferences and with the built-in “flip” function the AeroCheck works equally well for left or right-handed users.
The menu system is simple and fast to navigate with the ability to add chosen items to the sidebar as easily recognisable icons for rapid access and a quick setting menu for rapid set-up review and adjustment.
With four operator-selectable soft keys and a fifth position for the last menu function used, the operator can quickly set up the system to work the way they prefer to work. Each saved instrument setting can be associated with a unique, one press set of quick access functions. There are also two front panel hard keys that can also be easily programmed for rapid one press access to instrument functions.
