The standard configuration of the ultraSCAN Mx is a 5-axis system (X, Y, Y2, Z, Z2) with an inspection envelop of 3.5 x 2.5m. It comes with a specially designed water delivery system that provides a stable and repeatable UT signal. ultraSCAN Mx offers an efficient way to maximize the scanning rate with the use of multiple ultrasonic probes integrated into a specially designed water-box system. This multi-channel technology minimizes the amount of indexes required to scan the parts, reducing the total scanning time.. Instead of moving a single pair of probes across the surface of the parts, arrays of probes are used in pairs to scan across the inspected panel, the elements of the emitting array being fired simultaneously or one after the other.
Together with TecViewTM UT and our multichannel UTPR-8 ultrasonic instrument, the ultraSCAN Mx scanner is able to provide fast data acquisition for real-time C-Scan Imaging. TecViewTM simplifies the setup of the inspection parameters and incorporates different modules including Data Acquisition and Data Management, Motion Control, Imaging and Analysis of the collected inspection results.
