Don’t miss the 10th International Symposium on NDT in Aerospace

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung (DGZfP)160, Berlin, Germany

Don’t miss the 10th International Symposium on NDT in Aerospace The 10th International Symposium on NDT in Aerospace will take place in Dresden/Germany during October 24 to 26, 2018 where NDT.net is the media sponsor and the German Society for NDT (DGZfP) the host organisation. The programme is now fairly complete with three parallel sessions, the exhibition space fully booked and registrations looking to achieve an ever breaking record again. The four unique plenary keynote talks followed by very special workshop sessions will include:

  • Numerical Simulation in NDT with Dr. Pierre Calmon (CEA/France): NDE & SHM computational tools for enhanced diagnostics and reliability assessment
  • NDT and Big Data with Prof. Dirk Söffker (Univ. of Duisburg-Essen/Germany): From data-driven NDT of systems to BIG DATA-based modeling
  • Robotics in NDT with Dr. William Prosser (NASA/USA): NASA Applications of Robotics for NDT of Aerospace Vehicles
  • NDT and Additive Manufacturing with Prof. Giovanni Bruno (BAM/Germany): Microstructure and residual stresses in AM metallic parts: Do we know what we do not know?

All participants are welcome to also actively participate during those interactive workshop sessions being a specific of this symposium. In addition there will be different special sessions being related to Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), student activities related to special master and PhD theses as well as EU funded activities such as the Marie Curie PhD programme ‘NDT on Air’ or ‘Clean Sky’. Furthermore there is a parallel track with a variety of technical presentations devoted to various topics being relevant to NDT in aerospace.

A very special student attendance rate is intended to make the symposium attractive to students but also to recruiters to meet potential future graduates. Not to forget the technical visits to Saxonian aerospace testing and maintenance organisations in the Dresden and Leipzig area. This symposium is therefore hardly to be missed.

Further details including the detailed programme being continuously updated are to be found on: www.ndt-aerospace.com
