Conventional ultrasonic inspection.
Select from predefined weld configurations or produce your own specific weld geometry quickly and easily. Call up transducer or wedge definitions from an extensive list or include your own unique designs. ESBeamTool2 allows you to save the workspace and the user defined weld parameters. Graphical display auto scales and transparency features allow real time observation of parameter changes. ESBeamTool2 allows you to add probes and turn the beam visibility on and off. Dimensions and labels to help convey the inspection sequence are all easily achieved by simply selecting the appropriate button. Phased Array ESBeamTool2 was designed to meet the modern operators need for speed. Phased array technique development is more complex than that for conventional ultrasonic inspection and as such requires effective tools to help define the inspection approach. ESBeamTool2s innovative approach to phased array enables linear, sectorial and an informative reference cursor option to be represented, helping to clearly convey weld coverage, HAZ coverage and probe position, in addition to critical dimensions. ESBeamTool2 is fast, easy to use and an effective tool for phased array technique development. Conventional UT Conventional probes can now be modeled in ESBeamTool2 with advanced support for beam spread and near field rendering. TOFD New time-of-flight diffraction support provides tools to visualize and confirm zonal coverage. TOFD techniques can be automatically annotated with crossover dimensions and dead-zone depiction. Effortlessly define probe separation (PCS) by selecting the cross-over depth you want and ESBeamTool2 automatically positions the probes to target your requirements. Multi-discipline Technique Development Design techniques using multiple probes from multiple disciplines within a single workspace. Combine Conventional UT and TOFD probe configurations to ensure complete coverage. Modern User Interface ESBeamTool2's modern user interface makes it easy to be productive immediately after installation without having to spend a lot of time learning how to use it. Super tooltips ensure that an explanation of each tools function is readily available without having to consult the online help. Visual pick lists provide you with a preview of what a command does before the command is executed. Functionality is easily discoverable. Redline Annotation Redline allocation lets you annotate your technique using a comprehensive suite of drawing tools. You can add text and symbols to draw attention to items of interest in your technique and clearly communicate specifics such as scan directions, probe harnesses, etc... Piece Configuration Piece configuration has been completely redesigned for ESBeamTool2. Pick from a list of standard weld configurations or use the new weld editor to create virtually any weld profile, no matter how complex. New weld cap geometries allow you to clearly illustrate how close you can get your probe to a weld while ensuring proper coverage. Defect Simulation Using the redline drawing system, you can draw defects onto a piece, then use two dimensional ray-tracing to visualize beam reflections on simulated defects. This is an excellent visualization tool for communicating technique objectives. Configurable Reporting HTML standards based reporting allows reports to be generated and shared across the web or email. Report content can be copied into other programs, like Microsoft Word, and edited for final presentation. Advanced users can create and save custom report templates using standard HTML editors, like Microsoft FrontPage. Multiple Views Technique plans can now be viewed from the side and the top to help communicate probe placement in all planes. Versatility This versatile tool simplifies the technique design, validation and reporting process and is adaptable for use by engineers, technicians, and auditors. If you are dealing with ultrasonic inspections and require the ability to visualize and document the applications, ESBeamTool2 will guide you through the process and produce the professional results industry experts demand.
