The Sonovation Group of Companies has launched a unique high temperature ultrasonic inspection serviceTÜV Rheinland Sonovation27, Oosterhout , Netherlands
Recent development work in conjunction with Shell Global Solutions in Amsterdam has shown that ultrasonic inspection is achievable up to 883 degrees Fahrenheit (473 degree Celsius). This work has been done over a 24 month period where validations have been carried out to prove that even using the Time of Flight Diffraction Technique up to such temperatures is feasible. Shell Global Solutions and Sonovation worked closely together to achieve this significant target.
